Just Tap and Go When You Link Your Maya Credit Card to Google Pay

Filipinos practically run their entire lives on their phones — checking group chats, booking rides, and juggling a dozen errands in between. But even with everything going digital, paying with your phone can still slow you down – especially with QR codes. Scanning with your phone, waiting for SMS confirmation, or having cashiers take screenshots and double-check a QR payment? Suddenly, your quick stop turns into a waiting game.

Maya, the #1 Digital Bank in the Philippines, is changing that. As one of the first banks in the country to enable Google Pay for credit cards, Maya is putting next-generation payments directly in your hands. Yup, Android users can now tap and go by simply adding their Maya Credit Card to Google Wallet. Even better? Tap to Pay via the Maya app is coming soon, making paying faster and easier than ever.

Why Tap to Pay Just Makes Sense

Life moves fast—commuting, grabbing coffee, running errands between meetings. And through all of that, your phone is always in your hand. So, it only makes sense for paying to keep up.

It’s no wonder most prefer tapping with their credit cards. It’s quick, convenient, and comes with rewards. But there’s an even faster way to pay: Tapping with your phone. With Maya on Google Pay, your phone becomes your wallet. No digging through your bag, no fumbling for a card—just one motion and you’re done. Plus, you still get the rewards you love:

  • Instant Maya Miles with your Maya Black Credit Card, and
  • Cashback with your Landers Cashback Everywhere Credit Card.

An Easier & More Effortless Way to Pay

Paying with your Maya Credit Card on Google Pay is instant and incredibly smooth:

  • Add your Maya Credit Card to the Google Wallet app
  • Unlock your phone, open Google Wallet, and tap at any NFC-enabled terminal
  • Pay anywhere Visa or Mastercard contactless is accepted globally

No extra steps. No friction. Just fast, secure, tap-and-go payments — whether you’re buying coffee, catching a ride, or checking out at your favorite stores.

Perks That Make Tapping Even Better

To celebrate this new way to pay, Maya and Visa are giving your PickUp Coffee run an upgrade. Tap to Pay with your Maya Credit Card via Google Pay and you get ₱50 off on your drink—yes, just for tapping. Your caffeine fix, now with tap-exclusive perks.

With this feature now available, you can finally ditch the unnecessary steps and go straight to the part that matters—tapping, earning, and getting on with your day. Paying shouldn’t slow your down, and now it won’t.

All SM Malls Unite for Cebu: A Nationwide Call to Hope and Empowerment

In the aftermath of Typhoon Tino, SM Supermalls, through SM Foundation and SM Cares, has launched a nationwide campaign titled “All SM Malls Unite for Cebu,” mobilizing support and solidarity to uplift communities affected by the disaster.

With the campaign’s message, “HOPE calls for an empowered community,” SM invites Filipinos across the country to extend compassion and generosity—uniting to bring grace, hope, and strength to those in need.

Lighting the Way for Cebu

The initiative was launched during the SM City Cebu Christmas display kickoff on November 13, themed “Unwrapping the Gift of Grace and Hope.” At exactly 6 PM, all SM malls nationwide illuminated their displays in GREEN—a powerful symbol of hope, unity, and the Filipino spirit of bayanihan.

This season, we are reminded that the true gift of Christmas lies in giving,” said Steven T. Tan, President of SM Supermalls. “Through this campaign, we aim to bring light, hope, and solidarity to Cebu and its people, who continue to show courage and resilience amid challenges.”

As part of the ceremony, SM City Cebu also honored the courageous first responders who served as beacons of hope during the recent earthquake and typhoon. In gratitude for their unwavering service, the mall turned over 200 Bundles of Hope to representatives from the Cebu City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CCDRRMO), BFP Mabolo, PNP Mabolo, and Barangay Mabolo BRRMO and Welfare Workers. The gesture recognized the compassion, courage, and commitment of the responders who stood at the frontlines to help communities rise again.

Real Acts of Compassion

Beyond the event and the symbolic lighting, SM also turned compassion into action through a series of relief and recovery initiatives:

  • 8,000 Kalinga Packs donated through Operation Tulong Express (OPTE) for affected families, including SM employees.
  • Cash donation booths deployed across all SM malls nationwide, providing shoppers with easy access to contribute directly to relief operations.
  • SM Mobile Clinic deployed to affected communities to deliver essential health services and medical outreach.

These efforts are coordinated with local government units, partner organizations, and volunteers, reflecting SM’s continued commitment to community resilience and long-term empowerment.

Gift of Grace, Gift of Hope

As part of SM’s corporate social responsibility mission, SM Foundation and SM Cares reaffirm their dedication to sustainable community support and proactive disaster response.

Through ‘All SM Malls Unite for Cebu,’ we are not only extending immediate aid, but also building stronger, more resilient communities that can rise above adversity,” said Tan.

The campaign serves as a reminder that every act of kindness—no matter how small—can help illuminate Cebu’s path to recovery.

Presented by Wilbros Live. Tickets go on-sale on November 22 Saturday, 11AM via SMTickets.com and SM Tickets outlets nationwide.

Josh Groban possesses one of the most outstanding and instantly recognizable voices in music. Moreover, he continues to captivate fans everywhere as both a powerhouse vocalist and dynamic renaissance man. He has sold over 35 million albums worldwide, headlined legendary venues on multiple continents, and has also entertained audiences with acclaimed film and television appearances. His catalog spans a series of chart-topping blockbuster albums, including Josh Groban (5x-platinum), Closer (6x-platinum), Noël (7x-platinum), Awake (2x-platinum), Illuminations, All That Echoes, Stages (his first UK #1 album), Bridges, and his most recent release, Harmony. Along the way, he has packed arenas throughout North America, Europe, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, and Asia.

Extending his repertoire, Groban made his Broadway debut in 2016 with a starring role in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812. He garnered a Tony® Award nomination for Best Lead Actor In A Musical. He has expanded his presence with appearances on Glee, The Simpsons, The Office, CSI: NY, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and The Crazy Ones as well as in the feature films Coffee Town, Muppets Most Wanted, and Crazy, Stupid, Love. In addition, he starred in the NETFLIX series The Good Cop in 2018. Groban maintains his position as the consummate American showman in 2022 and beyond. In 2022, he returned to the hallowed stage of Radio City Music Hall for his Great Big Radio City Show residency and launched a nation-wide live tour. Groban also starred in ABC’s special Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration as none other than the Beast in December 2022.

In the spring of 2023, Josh took to Broadway once again, performing in the highly anticipated revival of Sweeney Todd, playing the title role which earned him Tony and GRAMMY Nominations along with widespread acclaim. Deadline:‘Groban makes himself over into a full-blown, and fully developed, Broadway star…His Sweeney is by turns sympathetic and monstrous.’ The New York Times: “The “gorgeously sung” part is no surprise with Groban, whose quasi-operatic pop baritone perfectly encompasses the range of the role, and whose technique makes sure every word is bell clear. That some of the songs are thus even prettier than usual is all to the better.”

This year, Josh released an 18-track career-spanning collection of songs, titled Gems. He also took to the Las Vegas stage for a sold-out, exclusive five-night run at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with its hits-focused production of the same name.

Josh recently announced Hidden Gems, a special collection that brings together ten of his fans’ most beloved and rare tracks - many of which have never been available on streaming platforms - along with one brand-new song. Over the years, Josh has released a wide array of deluxe editions, fan exclusives, and special international tracks. Now, these fan favorites have been carefully curated into a single collection that showcases the versatility of his musical journey. To herald the announcement, Josh shared his brand new song, “The Constant”, a stunning collaboration written by Josh and the acclaimed songwriting duo Pasek and Paul (The Greatest Showman, La La Land). It's a beautiful addition to this collection of rare treasures, offering something fresh while honoring the songs fans have cherished for years.

Jollibee Christmas 2025 Campaign "Buo ang Saya ng Pasko" Reminds Us What Makes Christmas Truly Complete

This Christmas, Jollibee takes a more heartfelt turn - focusing on what makes the season meaningful: FAMILY.

In a time when life feels busier, distances grow longer, challenges arise, and many Filipinos find themselves away from home, Jollibee’s newest holiday campaign, “Buo ang Saya ng Pasko,” uplifts our spirits and reminds us that true joy is found in togetherness with family - however it’s formed: by blood, by bond, or by choice.

Through a series of touching vignettes in its new Christmas film, Jollibee captures how both typical families and different versions of Filipino families now come together -- There’s the nurse celebrating a night shift with hospital staff, a security guard sharing laughs with fellow workers, a couple treating their beloved pets like family, a single mother and her daughters finding joy in a simple Jollibee meal and a large family celebrating Christmas reunions across generations.

Says Dorothy Dee-Ching - VP and Head of Marketing, Jollibee Philippines:

"What makes Filipino Christmases so special is the love we share and the joy we bring to one another. Family has always been at the heart of every Filipino Christmas, but we also know that times have changed. By embracing the many ways we now define family, we hope to rekindle in everyone the true meaning of joy this season - that Christmas is complete not when everything is perfect or traditional, but because no matter where we are or who we celebrate with, as long as we’re together and there’s Jollibee on the table, Buo ang Saya ng Pasko.“

Each story mirrors real-life moments of warmth and connection that make Christmas feel whole again. Accompanied with an original soundtrack, Jollibee’s new heartwarming film reminds us that even as the faces around the table change, as long as the family is together - Buo ang saya ng Pasko.

So, this Christmas, Jollibee invites you all to share the joy of togetherness with your family. As the film beautifully states, “Tunay ang ligaya basta’t tayo’y magkasama. Dito, sarap ang pinagsasaluhan. Buo ang saya ng Pasko.”

iWant strengthens its growing lineup of microdramas with a new high-stakes thriller entitled “The Billionaire Swap” exclusively on the platform starting Monday (November 17).

This marks iWant's fourth microdrama release, reflecting the growing audience appetite for short-form, fast-paced and vertical-box narratives among online viewers.

The series follows the downfall of tech billionaire Joshua Rivera (Jimsen Jimson), who is framed by his stepbrother Anton (Billy Jake-Cortez) in a calculated scheme fueled by greed and a hidden obsession with Daniel’s wife, Michelle (Diane Valentin). Wrongfully imprisoned and later presumed dead after a prison fire, Joshua is pushed out of his own life just as Anton begins to move into it, ultimately earning Michelle’s trust and positioning himself at the center of the Rivera empire.

The story takes a sharp turn when a man named Daniel Reyes (played by Mikoy Morales) emerges, claiming to be Joshua back from the dead. His striking similarity raises questions to the people closest to the tech mogul.

What are the secrets lying behind the empire? Who can be trusted when everyone has something to hide? And is the man claiming to be Joshua really who he says he is?

Lock in for betrayal, deception, and quick feels that will keep audiences on the edge. Stream “The Billionaire Swap” exclusively on iWant.
