Sparkle GMA Artist Center Unveils The Star-Studded Roster for Sparkle World Tour

Sparkle stars Julie Anne San Jose, Rayver Cruz, Ken Chan, Jillian Ward, Betong, Boobay, Ms. Aiai Delas Alas, Isko Moreno, Bianca Umali, Ruru Madrid, and Alden Richards are all set and excited to bring joy to Kapuso fans abroad in their upcoming Sparkle World Tour in the US, Japan, and Canada.

On Thursday (June 27), Sparkle Artist Center gathered the Entertainment press and special guests to celebrate the official launch of their second leg of the anticipated world tour in a grand media conference.

The stars in the lineup expressed their excitement, especially those who will be visiting the countries and cities of the tour for the first time. They also shared that they're looking forward to creating new memories together and with their fans abroad.

Abot-Kamay na Pangarap stars Jillian Ward and Ken Chan shared their excitement as this will be their first time in the city of Tokyo. Real-life couple Bianca Umali and Ruru Madrid both look forward to the Japan event as well.

Jullie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz revealed that fans can look forward to their performances as the Asia's Limitless Star personally chose the songs they will be performing in the concert tour.

For Isko Moreno and Alden Richards, they're also looking forward to their Sparkle tours in the US and Canada. Alden even applauded Sparkle for giving them the chance to hold the media conference in the country.

Lastly, host of the "Sparkle Goes to Japan" event, Betong Sumaya, expressed his gratitude and delight for being given the chance to be part of the much awaited event.

Certain GMA and Sparkle officials graced the conference as well, including GMA Network's Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Legal, Human Resources Development, and Worldwide Group Atty. Annette M. Gozon-Valdes; Sparkle Vice President and Head Ms. Joy Marcelo; and GMA Pinoy TV's First Vice President and Head of International Operations Joseph T. Francia.

The Sparkle World Tour will be held in August and September, starting with the event in the US on August 9 and 10. The Sparkle stars who will be part of th US tour are Alden Richards, AiAi Delas Alas, Isko Moreno, Rayver Cruz, Julie Anne San Jose, and Boobay.

Alden Richards and Boobay will also meet Kapuso fans in Canada on August 11 and 17.

The tour will then move to Japan on September 1, with Sparkle artists Julie Anne San Jose, Rayver Cruz, Ken Chan, Jillian Ward, Betong Sumaya, Bianca Umali, and Ruru Madrid, with the special guest Ms. Divine Daldal.

1. Primarily filmed on location in rural areas of Utah, including the Shivwits Reservation west of St. George near the Santa Clara River, Moab, Apple Valley, surrounds of Zion National Park and more. The state provided incredible geological vistas - from planes to mesas to iconic red rocks to mountains and rivers - that evoke the time and places covered in the story.

2. Production utilized Utah locals in numerous capacities, from location managers to background extras to craft services, wagons (and horses), builders and more.

3. Utah has a long, rich history of filming within the state, with thousands of productions captured there since the 1920s, with such Western heavy hitters as John Ford and John Wayne filming there.

4. For authenticity, animal wrangler Scott Perez sourced horned cattle from Mexico, a less hefty-looking breed than today’s more often seen angus cattle, and more period-appropriate. He also sourced oxen from North Carolina, horses from Utah, North Carolina, Texas, New Mexico and even Los Angeles, California, as well as mules from Salt Lake City and Price in Utah.

5. Seasoned rider Kevin Costner selected the horse for his character, Hayes Ellison, from Perez’s personal stables - a horse named Clark.

6. At one point during filming, Perez’s team wrangled a whopping 90 horses (out of a total 110), 30 steers, 10 bucking horses and eight mules at once.

7. Sienna Miller, who plays Frances Kittredge is a history nerd, “To be able to dive in and really experience this era and this moment in history, to be able to work on something that is so impartial and just states the facts, was astounding,” says Miller.

8. Abbey Lee who plays Marigold, a sex worker at that time read a book from the early 1900s by a woman called Nell Kimball as reference for her character.

Breakthrough Artist MAKI Releases New Single "Dilaw," Music Video Features BINI Maloi

Breakthrough artist Maki opens his doors for a blossoming love in his new single “Dilaw,” which has become an instant hit, now leading at no. 1 on Spotify Philippines Top 50 songs chart.

The indie alternative track released under Tarsier Records likens the hope and happiness to the yellow color as it captures the experience of finding love after overcoming a painful past. Maki wrote the song with Nameless Kids’ vocalist Nhiko Sabiniano who also served as its producer.

“I actually wrote this song for myself, para sa batang ako na laging naghahanap ng love sa ibang tao. Yung sobrang bigay siya nang bigay ng pagmamahal tapos hindi niya nakukuha pabalik. Now, I realize na after so many heartbroken moments in my life, di ko na mahal yung sarili ko. Dapat yung dilaw natin unang-una sa lahat ay yung sarili natin,” Maki said.

He also released the music video for “Dilaw” which features BINI member Maloi as her partner. The MV takes listeners to a rollercoaster ride of emotions dealing with finding and losing love at the same time.

Two weeks after its release, “Dilaw” earned 2.7 million views and peaked at no.1 on YouTube’s trending list for music. On Spotify, the track has received over 11 million streams so far. It is also featured on Spotify’s Tatak Pinoy, Hot Hits Philippines, and RADAR Philippines playlist. The track also debuted at no. 4 on Billboard Philippines Songs Chart.

Maki, who now has 4 million monthly listeners on Spotify, previously released the songs “HBD,” “Kailan?,” “Bakit?,” and his biggest hit to date “Saan?” He also released a collaboration song with Angela Ken and Nhiko titled “Sikulo.”

Creators Christian Linke and Alex Yee Confirm Upcoming Season is The Final Chapter of Award-Winning Netflix Series "Arcane"

Calling all Piltovans and Zaunites! Today, Netflix and Riot Games debuted the Teaser, along with new images, for the Second and Final Chapter of ARCANE.

“Arcane is just the beginning of our larger storytelling journey and partnership with the wonderful animation studio that is Fortiche," said Christian Linke during a League Dev Update that went live earlier today. "From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which means the story of Arcane wraps up with this second season. But Arcane is just the first of many stories that we want to tell in Runeterra.”

In this final chapter, Jinx’s attack on the Council sets the stage for a dire escalation of the conflict between Piltover and Zaun.
