Cornestone Entertainment Introduces Vertical Series "1, 2, 3 Boyfriend ni Marie" and "My Favorite Liar" Featuring Rising Digital Stars

Venturing into the innovation of entertainment in the new media, Cornerstone Entertainment is set to deliver yet another set of projects that will surely add fun and layer to the countless entertainment formats available online. Introducing two series brought in a vertical orientation - fit for all social media users - the premier entertainment company first unveiled its upcoming projects during its Creators’ Night, revealing a cast composed of fast-rising social media stars, influencers, and memers of some of the most adored PPOP groups today.

Offering a story layered with romance, comedy, and a slice of life to immerse its audience into its universe, “1, 2, 3 Boyfriend ni Marie” is one of the first-ever vertical series produced by Cornerstone Entertainment, starring Yes My Love’s main dancer and vocalist Niko Badayos, TikTok star Perlas, heartthrobs Eli Padilla, and Aaron Gonzalez. 

Their characters are set to bring a unique flavor of romantic-comedy stories while also exploring the concepts of bullying and self-love, as they get entangled with each other’s complex fate, proving how a supposed pretend can sometimes be real. Additionally, fast-rising social media stars Zoozoo, Sofia Jahrling, Naia Ching, and actress Sam Samarita will bring more fun into the said series with characters of diverse and vibrant backgrounds.

  

The cast of "1-2-3 Boyfriend ni Marie" and "My Favorite Liar" with friends from the media Cornerstone Entertainment also revealed an upcoming vertical series with lead stars Patrick Rocamora, main dancer from the Monsters of PPOP VXON, and digital superstar Cheska Cabrera, titled “My Favorite Liar.” In the said series, the characters portrayed by Patrick and Cheska will bring more kilig moments from the most mundane - sometimes even in situations people least expect it. Moreover, “My Favorite Liar” is set to showcase the beautiful art of transitioning from animosity to an unexpected romance. Social media superstars and content creators Kobe Francisco and Angela Balagtas are joining Patrick and Cheska, offering stories of their own character that add both kilig and depth to the upcoming series.

Meanwhile, during their recently concluded media day, the cast gave a sneak peek at their roles as they introduced themselves in character, teasing more about the interesting layers that the upcoming vertical series will offer. They also revealed both their fun and in-depth perspectives on situations, which they identified as red flags and green flags, right before sharing their experiences in creating both series.

Expected to have its digital premiere in September, “1, 2, 3 Boyfriend ni Marie” and “My Favorite Liar” are set to debut on BeetzeePLAY - a streaming platform created to recognize and celebrate the changing landscape of Filipino storytelling, such as vertical shorts, remarkable with its Piso Seryes, offering dramas and content for only one peso. Jeremy G is “ODDicted” to Love in New EP

Singer-songwriter and producer Jeremy G returns to the music scene with the first volume of his two-part album “ODDicted,” which topped the iTunes Philippines albums chart.

The Kapamilya artist shared that the coined word 'oddicted' summed up the theme of the extended play (EP). He said, “I felt like it fit very well because everyone has their different addictions when it comes to love. It was a great thing to encapsulate the whole theme about loving someone and loving yourself."

He co-wrote and produced the six-track EP with pop duo Darren Cashwell. “ODDicted” takes influences from the Y2K era as it delves into the highs of romance with the songs “hopeless romantic,” “addicted 2 u,” “Parking Lot” with Darren Cashwell and Chie Filomeno, “so good,” “why me?” and “Parking Lot - Hotter Version.”

The key track “addicted 2 u” brings a flirty vibe of being down bad for someone.

The Kapamilya artist also spoke about how working with different artists helped him find the inspiration again to write music for himself.

“After I released my album ‘Late Night Madness,’ I lost inspiration in trying to write for myself. I would try to write but nothing came out and it wasn’t good enough. But when I was writing for other artists, it helped me develop that inspiration even more. Those collaborations especially when I’m helping artists start their music career, it helped in shaping this EP,” Jeremy shared.

Jeremy released his first album “Late Night Madness” last year, which features “Moonlight Kisses” with Regine Velasquez-Alcasid and “BINI” with BINI Aiah.

Aside from his music, he is currently a mainstay of the Sunday noontime variety show “iWant ASAP.”

Puregold CinePanalo’s "Pushcart Tales" to Light Up the Screen at Thailand’s Pattaya Film Festival

Sigrid Bernardo’s Pushcart Tales, from the inaugural Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival, has been selected as an official entry to the Thailand’s Pattaya Film Festival 2025. Set to run from August 28-30, 2025, the festival has been envisioned to transform the coastal Thai city of Pattaya into a prestigious and buzzing hub for cinematic achievement in Asia.

Bernardo’s critically acclaimed dramedy stars Nonie Buencamino, Shamaine Buencamino, Carlos Siguion-Reyna, Harvey Bautista, Therese Malvar, and Elora Españo playing everyday people trapped inside a supermarket in the middle of a powerful storm.

Pushcart Tales was part of the lineup for the first-ever Puregold CinePanalo event and was one of the most awarded films at the end of the festival. It took home six trophies including Best Director, Best Actor for Carlos Siguion-Reyna, Best Actress for Shamaine Buencamino, Best Sound Design, Best Ensemble, and the Special Jury Prize.

“I am truly honored and grateful for the opportunity to have Pushcart Tales featured at the Pattaya Film Festival,” said the film’s director, Sigrid Bernardo. “I look forward to sharing our story with a wider audience and to connecting with other filmmakers and film lovers. Phil Dy described the film as “one of the greatest acting showcases the country has ever seen.” 

Jay Cruz of SINEGANG.ph also wrote that Pushcart Tales was “a story rich in form.”

Pushcart Tales is just the latest from Puregold CinePanalo’s initial selection of films that continue to garner recognition beyond the festival. 2024 Puregold CinePanalo’s Best Picture Under a Piaya Moon recently received six nominations for the 73 rd FAMAS Awards, which include Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor for Joel Torre, Best Screenplay, Best Editing, and Best Production Design. Kurt Soberano also received a nomination for Best Director in the upcoming Gawad Parangal ng Bayaning Pilipino.

Meanwhile, films from the Puregold CinePanalo’s student shorts category have likewise been selected as official entries in international film festivals. Sean Rafael Verdejo’s “Dela Cruz, Juan P.” and Mark Joseph Sanchez’s “Our One and Only Bab(o)y” will be part of the Jagran Film Festival in India from September 4-November 16. Clyde Cuizon Gamale’s award-winning “Champ Green” will also be competing in the Hanyang International Shorts Awards in South Korea.
