Yeng Constantino's Latest Single "Kumapit" Inspires to Hold On to God During Hard Times

Singer-songwriter Yeng Constantino is back with her newest song titled, “Kumapit.” The single which hopes to reassure Filipinos about the hope found in God amidst the pandemic is hitting the airwaves this Friday, June 11.

In Kumapit, Yeng sings about how God understands our worries, fears, and even anger during difficult seasons in life. The song is a solid reminder that we are never alone in our battles and that we can always hold on to God.

This song is for people who are struggling with their faith and struggling to see hope. I pray that as they hear this song, they will feel God’s presence even more. There are things in this world that we don’t understand but one thing remains: God is good. And we have to hold on to that,” Yeng said in the vernacular.

The OPM icon penned the song by drawing inspiration from the raw feelings she, her loved ones, and other people experienced, revealing that she, too, struggled with anxiety and depression when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the country.

I struggled with my mental health during the pandemic. It's my first time to share this, but I undergo therapy for my depression. The pandemic increased my anxiety, sadness, and uncertainty.

In these uncertain times, Yeng rediscovered that she can hold on to God and find hope, comfort, and strength – a beautiful revelation that can be heard in her latest single, Kumapit.

My favorite lyric was ‘Hindi Siya yanig sa iyong galit.’ Sometimes we think that we can never ask God why things happen. God showed to me that He is not like that. He is a good father. So keep asking; God will not shush you. The more you ask, the more He reveals Himself to you,” Yeng shared.

The song is released under Star Music, co-produced by CBN Asia’s music arm, Reverb Worship PH. CBN Asia’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer John Valdes Tan said, “Reverb Worship PH has gone into a co-production agreement with Star Music to produce inspirational songs and our newest offering is called Kumapit. I believe that everyone who listens to Kumapit will be blessed by God through its beautiful melody and words of hope and grace.”

Pre-save "Kumapit" by Yeng Constantino today and stream the song on June 11, on Spotify, Apple, Deezer, and YouTube. Follow Reverb Worship PH on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube for more updates.

Darren Espanto Ready to Hit a "Home Run" on June 19 and 20

Darren Espanto is all set to showcase his transformation as a singer-performer, shedding off his teenage persona for an edgier repertoire and vibe in his comeback concert “Home Run,” finally happening on June 19 (Saturday) with a rerun on June 20 (Sunday) via KTX.ph, iWantTFC, and TFC IPTV for the enjoyment of audiences worldwide.

It's called ‘Darren Home Run’ because in the past 7 years parang naikot ko na po lahat ng bases in the music/concert scene in the Philippines. So it's kind of like I hit a home run in this show. I just came back from Canada so I'm very excited,” Darren said.

Initially scheduled on May 30 and 31, “Darren Home Run: The Comeback Concert” was postponed after the multi-awarded young artist was exposed to a COVID-19 positive individual. Now all systems go this month for the grand musical show which is a collaboration between ABS-CBN Events and MCA Music.

The first major solo virtual concert of Darren - who just turned 20 last May 24 - will be directed by Paolo Valenciano, with TV direction by Jon Moll and musical direction by Soc Mina. Performances on the show will be choreographed by D Grind.

This is the biggest virtual concert that I have ever done. Most of the songs that I personally chose for the setlist are close to my heart and may relation din sa journey ko sa showbiz,” Darren teased.

Along with his jaw-dropping vocal prowess and hip moves, the Kapamilya artist promises never-before-seen song numbers that will make him soar to greater heights, which includes his performance of his latest single “Tama Na.”

The track lyrically speaks of unrequited love and having the courage to withdraw from a one-sided relationship on top of a pop, hip-hop, and R&B sound. “I really liked the song instantly. It’s a sound that people haven’t heard from me before and it’s also a genre I’ve always wanted to try,” he said.

Tickets for “Darren Home Run: The Comeback Concert” are still available for purchase via KTX.ph, iWantTFC, and TFC IPTV. VIP tickets are priced at P1,500, available only for the June 19 live show via KTX.ph, with an exclusive access to a Zoom party with Darren. Regular tickets can be availed for P699.

SKYcable subscribers can also experience the whole concert commercial-free and in high-definition via SKY Pay-Per-View on June 19 (Saturday) at 8 pm for only P699. To get the pay-per-view passes, they can visit mysky.com.ph/skyppv or text SKY PPV to 23662.

Connect with Real People, Viewers Learn from Kyle Echarri's “Click, Like, Share”

The first episode of the digital anthology series “Click, Like, Share” starring Kyle Echarri has moved viewers to reevaluate their relationship with technology and loved ones as they gained valuable lessons on the harmful effects of excessive use of mobile devices and social media.

In his episode titled “Reroute,” which is seen on KTX.ph, iWantTFC, TFC IPTV, and Upstream, Brennan (Kyle) becomes increasingly dependent on an invasive virtual assistant, which eventually falls in love with him, ruins his relationship with his girlfriend (Danica Ontengco), and causes a tragedy.

Viewers who have seen the episode were able to relate to the story as they shared how relationships with real people will always be more important than technology.

It was really beautiful and you impressed us. We witnessed a different @kyle_echarri. I learned that we should value the moments with our loved ones instead of being on our phones all the time because we never know when they will be taken away from us,” said Twitter user @sheerrryyy.

For user @e_fanacc, “Reroute made me realize that the internet and social media world will control our lives once we allow it to do so, that’s why we shouldn’t allow it to take control of our lives. Let’s learn how to connect with real people.”

#Reroute is somehow a glimpse of our future. With new technological discoveries and advancement, we shouldn’t be surprised if we’ll live in a society controlled by technology. That’s why it’s very important to put boundaries especially on how we use our devices, even social media platforms. Proud of you,” shared @kjpechawii_.

Viewers will be able to gain more insightful lessons in the next episode “Cancelledt,” starring Francine Diaz with Renshi de Guzman and streams on June 12 at 6 PM. Here, Karen (Francine) will be hit with the harsh realities of social media due to her obsession with fame.

Fans can still watch “Reroute” and the succeeding episodes “Cancelledt” on June 12, “Trending” with Seth Fedelin on June 19, and “Poser” with Andrea Brillantes on June 26 at 6 PM by purchasing a season pass, inclusive of bonus features, on KTX.ph (P299), iWantTFC (P299 in the Philippines or US$5.99 outside the Philippines), TFC IPTV (US$5.99), or Upstream (P299 in the Philippines or US$5.99 outside the Philippines). Hospital Playlist Season 2 Premieres June 17 on Netflix

Beloved slice-of-life series Hospital Playlist will be making its much-anticipated return very soon!

With all of the cliffhangers from the first season, we can’t wait to see what’s going on with all of the characters in the new season.

If you haven’t watched the show yet, it’s the perfect time to binge-watch or even re-watch the first season. The series centers around five doctors who have been friends since medical school and are now working at the same hospital. While you might expect a medical drama to be full of dramatic hospital scenes, Hospital Playlist will defy your expectations with its warm stories about everyday life.

The five doctors all have their different specialties and personalities, but mesh perfectly as well-seasoned friends. There’s hepatologist Lee Ik-jun (Cho Jung-seok) who is goofy, caring, and absolutely adores his son. Pediatrician Ahn Jeong-won (Yoo Yeon-seok) is sacrificial and doesn’t care for materialistic things. Cardiothoracic surgeon Kim Jun-wan (Jung Kyung-ho) appears gruff but is soft on the inside with quite a sweet tooth. Neurosurgeon Chae Song-hwa (Jeon Mi-do) is a huge fan of camping and excels at everything except for singing. Lastly, we have obstetrician-gynecologist Yang Seok-hyeong (Kim Dae-myeung) who enjoys his alone time and dotes on his mother.

More bickering, more delicious meals, and more band sessions with the five friends will be coming our way with the second season. From the creators of Reply 1988, you can expect funny and heartwarming tales surrounding the friends.

Stay tuned for the premiere on June 17 at 10PM PHT with episodes every Thursday, only on Netflix!

Community Pantry Volunteers Win .5-Million in Vice Ganda’s “Everybody, Sing!”

Good luck and fortune reigned supreme during the pilot episode of Vice Ganda's "Everybody, Sing!" as the group of community pantry volunteers took home the jackpot prize worth P500,000 last night (June 5).

The featured 25 'songbayanan' successfully guessed the correct titles of all 10 songs in the jackpot round called "Everybody Guessing" of the country's first community singing game show. The group of community pantry volunteers were hailed as the first jackpot prize winner and will share the P500,000 pot money.

Vice Ganda also paid tribute to the community pantry volunteers who came from different parts of Metro Manila for their dedication to serve their fellow Filipinos in the middle of the pandemic.

"You all deserve to win. Mahigit pa sa P500,000 'yung binigay ninyong serbisyo, kalinga, at pagmamahal sa mga taong hindi niyo kakilala," the Phenomenal Box-Office Star said.

He added, "pinakita ninyo na kapag nagtutulungan, may mabuting patutunguhan lalo na sa gitna ng kahirapan at hindi pagkakaunawaan."

Pao, a 20 year-old community pantry volunteer also shared in an interview for the show that she was encouraged to help because she's able to make people happy with simple acts of love.

"Kahit nag-aaral kami, basta may free time, makakatulong kami sa ibang tao. Hindi lang sila 'yung napapasaya. Pati na rin kami," she said.

Besides championing the spirit of bayanihan, netizens also took to Twitter to compliment the newest game show of ABS-CBN that took the top spot among the trending topics in the Philippines on Saturday (June 5).

Twitter user @NhelVictorino said, "Parang gusto ko na ring sumali! Ang enjoy lang eh, though magkakaiba kayo ng group or organization, still 'yung tulungan makikita mo talaga eh! Nice."

Meanwhile, @asirguin tweeted, "sobrang ganda ng tugtugan sa #EverybodySing. First episode pa lang mapapa-jam ka na."

@CristianCofino2 also praised Vice Ganda's outfit as Audrey Hepburn's character in "Breakfast at Tiffany's that added color to the show. "Thank you meme sa extra effort sa pagsusuot ng bonggang bongga."

An original concept of ABS-CBN, "Everybody, Sing!" is a uniquely Filipino game show that aims to underscore the importance of bayanihan and teamwork in communities especially during this pandemic.
