Prime Video has announced the premiere date for The Alibi,
Dreamscape Entertainment’s much-anticipated romantic thriller starring Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino.
The Alibi unravels a story where love and deception collide in a world driven by ambition, influence, and
betrayal. The series will premiere on November 7, with new episodes released weekly in the Philippines
and over 240 countries and territories, exclusively on Prime Video.
At the heart of the story is Vincent Cabrera (Paulo Avelino), the heir to a powerful news empire who finds
himself accused of murdering his rival, Walter Cunanan (Sam Milby). Desperate to protect his name and
reputation, Vincent hires Stella Morales (Kim Chiu) – a star dancer with her own haunted past – to pose as
his alibi. What begins as a transactional deal between strangers soon spirals into an emotional and
dangerous entanglement.
As Stella and Vincent’s connection deepens, they are pulled into a web of lies that threatens to destroy
not only them but the powerful families they come from. The Cabreras, a dynasty built on media and
influence, struggle to preserve their perfect image while concealing decades of corruption and betrayal.
Meanwhile, Stella’s fractured family becomes collateral damage in a world they were never meant to
enter.
The series features a powerhouse ensemble cast including John Arcilla as Arthur Cabrera, Zsa Zsa Padilla
as Jacqueline Cabrera, Sofia Andres as Claudia Cabrera, Irma Adlawan as Rebecca Morales, Rafael Rosell,
Robbie Jaworski, Angelina Cruz, Alyanna Angeles, Alma Moreno, PJ Endrinal, Lotlot Bustamante, Ian de
Leon, Romnick Sarmenta, Enzo Osorio, Ayesha Bajeta, Thou Reyes, Alora Sasam, Marvin Yap, Johaira
Omar, Yesh Burce, and Kim Tubiano.
Directed by Onat Diaz, Jojo Saguin, and FM Reyes, and produced by Catherine Magdael–Abarrondo and
Eleanor Martinez, The Alibi explores the high-stakes intersection of love and morality, where truth
becomes the most dangerous secret of all.
“The Alibi is a story about the lies we tell ourselves to survive,” said Danica Domingo, Creative Manager.
“It’s a taut, character-driven mystery that challenges viewers to question every motive and every
memory.”
