Anne Hathaway is "Mother Mary," Showing in PH Theaters on April 22


Anne Hathaway stuns as the titular global pop icon in the new pop psychological thriller "Mother Mary," an ambitious film produced by A24 exclusively distributed in the Philippines by CreaZion Studios.

The full synopsis goes: “Long-buried wounds rise to the surface when iconic pop star Mother Mary reunites with her estranged best friend and former costume designer Sam Anselm (played by Michaela Coel) on the eve of her comeback performance.” The film makes the viewers curious - how much of your soul are you willing to lose for fame and vanity?


Mother Mary is written and directed by David Lowery. The filmmaker takes viewers to a musical journey in the backdrop of an unlikely reunion between former friends, while exploring the haunting effect of long-lost formidable connections. The movie features original music by Charli XCX, Jack Antonoff, and FKA Twigs, who also acts in “Mother Mary”.


The singles “Burial”, performed by Hathaway; and “My Mouth is Lonely For You” by Twigs is out now. Meanwhile, the film’s digital soundtrack, featuring seven songs, will drop on Hathaway’s music streaming accounts this April.

Gloc-9 Launches Seven Poetry Chapbooks "Makata Sa Pinas"


Gloc-9, going by his real name Aristotle Pollisco, has launched seven poetry chapbooks under the omnibus title Makata Sa Pinas - a hashtag he has been using the past decade.

While Gloc-9 previously released the poetry book Akin Lang Naman in 2017 with ABS-CBN Publishing, this new project offers a different approach to presenting his work as poetry. This time, Gloc-9 envisioned a series of slimmer volumes - a concept that became the starting point of the project.

In collaboration with the small press Everything’s Fine, the idea grew into a deeper reexamination of his entire discography. By revisiting the recurring themes and subject matter that consistently surface throughout his music, seven chapbooks were developed, each shaped around these enduring ideas and reflections.

The first three chapbooks are personal. "Pagkatao" tracks his development as a poet, talking about his roots in Binangonan, Rizal, and how this formed him into the rapper that we now know as Gloc-9. "Pangarap" includes all the poems about his dreams of becoming a songwriter and a rapper, reaching those aspirations, and reassessing what that means to him. "Pursigi" talks about the kind of hard work and persistence that reaching one's ambitions demands, the clarity of one's goals, and the importance of holding on to one's values.

From the personal, the next two chapbooks slowly shift to Gloc-9's storytelling through poetry. "Pagibig" speaks of love — from the familial to the romantic, and to the ones that unravel and end painfully. "Komunidad" tells the stories of the people that exist in our local neighborhoods — the people we talk to, the ones we care for, the ones we rarely see.

The final two chapbooks turn to the more political dimensions of Gloc-9’s poetry. “Lipunan” reflects on the kind of society we have collectively - and often unconsciously - built, shaped by who we have become as people and by the hate and compassion we choose to nurture within it. "Bayan" is composed of the stories of our nation that few popular songwriters speak of, from the perspective of the struggling majority who suffer in the hands of the wealthy and powerful few.

In totality, the seven chapbooks of Makata Sa Pinas capture the 28 years of Aristotle Pollisco as the poet of the nation. It also reminds us of how much more he can continue to do, given where he comes from, who he has become, and the legacy he has continued to build.

Makata Sa Pinas: Mga Tula ni Aristotle Pollisco is a collection of seven poetry chapbooks by Gloc-9, whose real name is Aristotle Pollisco. The works draw inspiration from the themes and stories found throughout his 28-year discography as one of the Philippines’ most influential rapper-songwriters.

The seven chapbooks present Pollisco’s poetry as an evolving journey—beginning with reflections on the personal self, expanding into the life of the community, and ultimately engaging with the broader socio-political realities of the nation.

Each chapbook stands on its own through its distinct themes and subject matter. Taken together, however, they invite readers to reflect more deeply on their identity, their place within their communities, the roles they play in society, and the importance of remaining aware of and engaged with issues that shape the nation.

BINI Releases Back-to-Back Singles "Unang Kilig" and "Honey Honey"

The nation's girl group shows no signs of slowing down with their back-to-back music releases. “Unang Kilig,” composed and produced by Jeremy G, captures the rush of blossoming romance — that heart-fluttering moment of wondering whether it’s finally time to confess your feelings.

The group’s latest releases follow a series of major live performances, including drawing over 14,000 fans at the Valentine’s Kiligan Fest at Robinsons Place Manila, where “Unang Kilig” was first teased.

Singer-songwriter Angela Ken bares her heart out as she holds on to love in her newly dropped single “baka bukas.”

ABS-CBN Unveils the Riveting Poster for Action-Drama Series "Blood vs Duty" Featuring Richard Gutierrez, Bela Padilla, and Gerald Anderson


ABS-CBN has dropped the official poster for the highly anticipated action-drama series “Blood vs Duty,” which is set to ignite primetime television viewing very soon.

The vivid poster introduces the characters to be portrayed by the lead stars Richard Gutierrez, Bela Padilla, and Gerald Anderson together with Baron Geisler and Barbie Imperial.

It was designed by Justin Besana, offering a first glimpse into the story’s central conflict and underscoring the looming clash rooted in systemic force.

Ahead of the poster reveal, JRB Creative Production also dropped a teaser where Richard holds a gun while Gerald brandishes a sword, a scene that foreshadows a brewing clash between the two.

A teaser featuring Bela was also released where she said the chilling line, “they are being butchered and so severely outnumbered.” Meanwhile, gunshots and police siren can be heard in Richard’s teaser as he says, “bunga ito ng malawakang pagkalat ng mga baril sa bansa.”

“Blood vs Duty” is among ABS-CBN’s highly anticipated offerings for 2026. The series was first announced last January 9, along with a glimpse of the cast's rigorous training in preparation for the series.
