Transport Strike Scheduled Today, March 15, DepEd Suspends Classes

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that transport groups are set to stage a protest caravan today, March 15, to show their dismay over the deferment of the decision on the P0.50 provisional fare hike for jeepneys.

In this regard, classes in all levels in public and private schools in Parañaque and San Juan are suspended. In Quezon City, classes in the elementary and high school levels are suspended, according to Mayor Herbert Bautista.

 The report likewise pointed out that the Department of Education has left the decision to call off classes to the respective city governments.
