Congressman Salvador Escudero III is Dead
Sorsogon Representative Salvador Escudero III, father of Senator Chiz Escudero died at exactly 3:30 a.m. today, August 13, in his Quezon City residence due to colon cancer. He was 70.
His remains now lies at state in Mount Carmel Church in Broadway Street, New Manila, Quezon City.
The late Congressman served as a dean and professor at the UPLB College of Veterinary Medicine from 1970 to 1984 before he took the post as Minister of Food and Agriculture during the term of the late President Ferdinand E. Marcos. He also served as Fidel V. Ramos' Secretary of Agriculture.
