June 2013  X-ray Technologist Board Exam Results

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) releases results of June 15-16, 2013 X-Ray Technologist (X-ray Tech) board exam in few working days from the last day of examination. Full list of passers, Top 10 and performance of schools will be made available here once officially released online.

The examination was conducted in the cities of Manila, Davao and Iloilo. It was administered by the Professional Regulatory board of radiologic technology headed by Wilhelmina M. Gana, Chairman; Cecilia S. Mananghaya, Dr. Orestes P. Monzon, Mr. Bayani C. San Juan and Mr. Zaldy M. Ambon, Members.

The examination for X-ray Technologist covers the following subjects: radiologic physics, equipment and maintenance, radiobiology, radiation protection and quality assurance, image production and evaluation, radiographic procedures and and techniques, patient care, management, ethics and jurisprudence, human anatomy and physiology, and medical technology.

The expected release date of results by PRC is on June 18 or 19 ( 2 or 3 working days after the last day of exam).

From Stanford School of Medicine definition, X-ray technologists, also called radiographers or radiologic technologists, are health professionals who use X-rays and other forms of radiation to produce images of various body parts and activities, such as the movement of blood through a person's heart valves. They then pass these images on to radiologists (doctors who specialize in interpreting X-rays) to screen for, diagnose and treat health conditions such as cancer and broken bones.
