NAIA as One of the World’s Worst Airport in ‘Patrol ng Pilipino’

NAIA as One of the World’s Worst Airport in ‘Patrol ng Pilipino’

ABS-CBN news reporter Ron Gagalac will investigate the reasons behind the delay and cancellation of numerous scheduled flights in the country this Tuesday (May 22) in “Patrol ng Pilipino.”

According to data from the Department of Transportation and Communication, the increase in the number of local flights stemmed from the low airfare rates issues by airline companies. Although the surge has done the business and tourism sectors good, runway traffic glitches have also started surfacing.

For his report, Ron flew to Davao, the province that accommodates the highest number of flights in the country. He and his news team experienced a two-hour flight delay going to Davao and a 45-minute delay going back to Manila. Incidents such as this put Ninoy Aquino International Airport on the list of ‘worst airports’ in the world.

How can the Ninoy Aquino International Airport change its image as the world’s worst airport? What are the government and the airline companies’ proposed strategies to ease runway traffic?

Meanwhile, join Atom Araullo as he dives the Tubbataha Reef, a UNESCO-named World Heritage site and the eighth most beautiful diving site in the world according to CNN.

Catch all these in “Patrol ng Pilipino” this Tuesday (May 22) after “Bandila” on ABS-CBN or watch it earlier on DZMM TeleRadyo (SkyCable Channel 26), 9: 15 p.m.
