LG Electronics (LG) Presents Global Music Festival Called "Boom Boom Pow Festa" Powered by LG XBOOM Speakers


LG Electronics (LG) launched a new marketing campaign that showcased the powerful audio performance and dynamic style of its LG XBOOM speakers. 

The campaign ignited with Boom Boom Pow Festa, a unique music festival dedicated to the iconic Black Eyed Peas’ song “Boom Boom Pow.” Released in 2009, this legendary party anthem topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 music chart for 12 consecutive weeks. During this exciting and vibrant event, the all-time favorite party song was reinterpreted by talented street performers from around the world and performed through LG’s powerful XBOOM party speakers.

Considered something of a modern classic, “Boom Boom Pow” has become a go-to party track globally, its infectious energy and booming bass inspired revelers of all ages to get to their feet and dance. Street performers in nine different countries took to the stage their own unique takes on the song, supported by the exceptional sound of LG XBOOM. In addition to talented street performers, Boom Boom Pow Festa featured rising stars of the global music scene such as Brazil’s Delacruz, performed at the iconic Escadaria Selarón in Rio de Janeiro, and The Juans, a Filipino four-member pop rock band based in the Philippines.


Powered by LG XBOOM party speakers, these exciting performances streamed live on the LG Global YouTube channel as part of a two-hour virtual concert. Videos of the individual performances and behind-the-scenes films that showcased the artists’ creative exploration of LG XBOOM’s dynamic power and energetic audio quality was also available on the same channel.

LG’s XBOOM engaging campaign expanded to TikTok with the fun-filled “Boom Boom Pow” dance challenge. Participants can join popular creators to show off their best moves and are encouraged to bring the same explosive energy that XBOOM-brand speakers are known for.

Different LG XBOOM speakers were featured throughout the campaign, each model offering a range of unique benefits along with the brand’s signature power and atmosphere-enhancing features. Smart and TNT Warn Customers Against Fake SIM Registration Portal Scam


Mobile services provider Smart Communications, Inc., along with its value brand TNT, has warned subscribers about spurious text messages urging subscribers to re-register their SIM in fake SIM registration portals.

In their latest public advisory, Smart and TNT bared this new modus of scammers, whose message often comes with a link that leads to a phishing domain imitating the SIM registration portal of Smart.

"Smart did not send these messages. These messages are phishing attempts aimed at stealing your personal information," the telco said in its advisory.

"Smart clarifies that there is NO NEED to re-register your Smart or TNT SIM if you have successfully registered it before. Please disregard any message asking you to register again."

Smart and TNT also remind the public that their official SIM registration portal is https://simreg.smart.com.ph.

Customers are encouraged to report incidents of text scams and phishing messages, among others, via the Smart and TNT public reporting portal called HuliScam at www.smart.com.ph/huliscam .

The HuliScam portal complements the new and more advanced network firewall that the PLDT Group had recently activated to block malicious messages from passing through its network, providing customers a safer and more secure mobile lifestyle.

BINI's Sold-Out Concert "Grand BINIverse" Now Available Globally on iWantTFC.com and Select Countries on iWantTickets


The sold-out concert of the Nation's Girl Group BINI is coming to iWantTFC as the three-day BLOOM extravaganza "Grand BINIverse" streams to the global audience live from the Smart Araneta Coliseum on iWantTFC.com on November 16–18.

Acer Ambassadors SB19 and G22 Electrifies Taiwan


The Acer Philippines brand ambassadors visited the Acer Headquarters in Taiwan.

Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin of SB19 and AJ, Alfea, and Jaz of G22 were in Taiwan as part of their activities as brand ambassadors for Acer Philippines. Acer awarded special honorary employee titles to both groups to express gratitude for their contribution to promoting the brand in the Philippine market.


While in Taiwan, SB19 also guested as mentors in “Atom Boyz 2,” an idol survival show. SB19 visited the Shilin Night Market with He Yankai, Huang Chongjun, and Li Jiahao. The three idols took SB19 to taste classic Taiwanese delicacies such as candied haws, chicken cake, stinky tofu, and sweet potato balls and played games in the night market. G22 will also make an appearance in “Atom Boyz 2.” The group is also scheduled to perform in “Super Entourage,” a variety show hosted by the father-daughter duo Jacky and Sandy Wu. Jacky Wu is a Taiwanese TV show host and singer.

"The Chosen" Star Jonathan Roumie Live Fan Screening Event in Manila this November


Jonathan Roumie, the actor beloved for his portrayal of Jesus in the ground-breaking series The Chosen, is set to visit Manila for a fan screening event on November 22, 2024. This promises an early Christmas gift for Pinoy fans of the hit series The Chosen!

The event will showcase the much-anticipated Christmas special Christmas with The Chosen: Holy Night. This retelling of the birth of Jesus, as seen through the eyes of Mary and Joseph beautifully weaves the stories of The Messengers and The Shepherd into an all-new remastered feature in time for the holiday season.

Meant to be seen in theaters, the special screening of Christmas with The Chosen: Holy Night promises an unforgettable, highly inspiring experience, blending powerful storytelling with stirring music. It will also feature a live video message from The Chosen creator and director Dallas Jenkins, encouraging reflection on the deeper meaning of Christmas, along with captivating performances from renowned artists, including the legendary Andrea Bocelli and his son Matteo. Other musical performances in the featured screening will include The Feast Choir, adding a uniquely Filipino touch to the celebration.

Fans can expect not only to watch the Christmas special but also to experience the spirit of the season through community, music, inspiration - and, of course, to take some “selfies with Jesus” at the mall. A special live performance from Virlanie Voices, from Virlanie Foundation will also be part of the live fan event program. As part of the pre-screening program, fans will have the opportunity to have an up-close moment as Jonathan Roumie is set to walk the teal carpet. Roumie’s Jesus in The Chosen is a comforting balance of the human and the divine.
