Five New Superheroes Come to Light in Action Sci-fi Series ‘EROS’ to Stream on ANIMA’s Youtube Channel

Generations of superheroes have come and gone in the history of Philippine shows, each leaving a distinct impact and legacy among viewers.

This year, ANIMA, one of the creative business units of tradigital entertainment company KROMA Entertainment, adds a fresh batch to this super roster as it gears up for the launch of a new superhero-themed series.

As the go-to resource for daring and creator-focused content, ANIMA unveils five new superheroes who will alter the course of mankind in the show ERO, which will kick off via ANIMA's official Youtube channel this month. Its first three episodes will drop, fittingly, on August 29, National Heroes Day. Succeeding episodes will air every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

In the 10-episode series directed by Joel Ferrer and Miko Livelo, five random misfits from a superhero academy become unlikely superheroes as they discover their "useless" powers. Bannered by Gabbi Garcia as Malaya, Markus Paterson as Titan, Alex Diaz as Asher, Anikka Camaya as Hazel, and Dylan Ray Talon as Biboy, they will personify the powers of contact destruction, immortality, time travel, super richness, and illusionism.

As seen in its riveting trailer, the ERO crew will train on harnessing their abilities for the greater good while also learning the fundamentals of controlling them. In their quest to conquer villains and confront challenges, they will strive to surpass the greats that have come before them, and seek their place in greater heights.

In the current story, Lyric (Andrea) and Beat’s (Seth) Team Werpa is practicing hard as the members prepare for a group showdown against the famous Prime Belters, which is led by their team captain Jazz (Darren).

Jane De Leon Wows Netizens in Impressive 'Darna' Transformation Debut

The eagerly-anticipated transformation of Jane De Leon as the new Darna has finally happened last Friday (August 19), capping off the pilot week of the ABS-CBN series that also saw the death of Leonor (Iza Calzado), the first Darna.

The #LipadDarna episode revealed how the white mythical stone found its way back to Narda - now an emergency medical technician - during a rescue mission caused by an earthquake in Nueva Esperanza.

Despite having qualms about fully embracing her destiny as a superhero, Narda bravely swallowed the stone, triggering her Darna alter ego and saving those who were trapped in the quake’s rubble.

The momentous scene shot up the hashtag #LipadDarna atop the local Twitter trend list and at the second spot in the worldwide list, with netizens primarily praising Jane’s performance, the costume, and visual effects.

After the episode, JRB Creative Production also released the official poster of the series, which shows Jane in a fierce battle stance while fully clad in her red and gold Darna ensemble that also earned positive feedback online for its high quality.

During Monday’s episode, viewers were introduced to the mysterious characters of Javier Toledo or Lindol Man (Dominic Ochoa) and Master Klaudio (Joko Diaz), who helped Ding from men trying to attack him. Will they be friends or foes to him and Narda?

Official Statement: TV5 and ABS-CBN Partnership Deal Put on Hold

To address the issues which have been raised by certain legislators and the National Telecommunications Commission on the proposed investment by ABS-CBN for a minority interest in TV5, ABS-CBN and TV5 have agreed to a pause in their closing preparations.

This pause will give the space for both media organizations to respond to the issues and accommodate any relevant changes to the terms.

Both ABS-CBN and TV5 believe that an agreement between the two media companies will have a favorable impact on Philippine media, and on free-to-air television - which remains the most affordable and extensive source of entertainment and public service to Filipinos.

Taiwan’s R&B Sensation Jinbo Joins Forces With TALA For Dreamy Collab “Over The Sea”
