PAGASA Weather Update on Tropical Storm GORIO (June 30, 2013)
As of 11:00 p.m., Saturday, 29 June 2013, Tropical Storm GORIO has maintained its strength as it moves in a west northwest direction.
Tropical Storm GORIO was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 60 km Northeast of Calapan, Oriental Mindoro (13.6°N, 121.6°E
) with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and
gustiness of up to 80 kph It is forecast to move West Northwest at 24 kph.

Monday evening: 870 km Northwest of Metro Manila and out of the Philippine Area of Responsibity (PAR).
Residents in low lying and mountainous areas under signals #2 & #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Likewise, those living in coastal areas are alerted against big waves or storm surges generated by this tropical cyclone.
Estimated rainfall amount is from 5 - 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Storm.
