Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo teased fans about their highly-anticipated comeback series “2 Good 2 Be True” as they spilled details about their characters and shared never-before-seen behind-the-scenes photos of the series.
Daniel will be portraying the role of Eloi - a hardworking mechanic and law student who will be sent out on an important mission for his parents, and will eventually cross paths with the ‘madiskarteng’ nurse named Ali, played by Kathryn.
Kathryn and Daniel made the revelation during the “Kapamilya Family Date Nights,” the latest phase of ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN Foundation’s "Tulong-Tulong sa Pag-Ahon: Isang Daan sa Pagtutulungan" 100-day fund drive for the victims of typhoon Odette. They join MMK host Charo Santos and other popular stars from current and upcoming ABS-CBN shows in spreading good vibes and ‘kilig’ while raising funds for a good cause.
From February 28 to March 9, fans can join the stars of "Viral Scandal," "2 Good 2 Be True," "Darna," and "MMK" in different nights on FYE Channel on Kumu, ABS-CBN Entertainment YouTube channel, ABS-CBN Facebook page, iWantTFC, and SKYcable ch. 955 and SD ch. 155.
The boys of “2 Good 2 Be True” kicked-off the second activity of “Kapamilya Family Date Nights” called “2 Good Familya Fun Ka2waan” last Thursday (March 3). Daniel, Ronaldo Valdez, Matt Evans, Yves Flores, Smokey Manaloto, Hyubs Azarcon, Romnick Sarmenta, and Cris Villanueva shared more about themselves in “Who’s Most Likely To?” and “Never Have I Ever” and they also revealed their hidden talents.
In the first three nights of “Kapamilya Family Date Nights,” meanwhile, the cast of the trending series “Viral Scandal,” consisting of Dimples Romana, Charlie Dizon, Karina Bautista, Aljon Mendoza, Miko Raval, Louise Abuel, Joshua Garcia, Aya Fernandez, Vance Larena, Jameson Blake, Jake Cuenca, Maxene Magalona, Kaila Estrada, Jong Cuenco, and Markus Paterson, went head-to-head in a vocal showdown for “Viral Family Karaoke Nights.”
The stars took turns in singing classic OPM karaoke songs but it was Dimples, Joshua, and Kaila who impressed the judges the most after being crowned as the ultimate karaoke champion of the night.
Aside from the donations collected through the “Viral Family Karaoke Nights,” the “Viral Scandal” family also pledged an additional P100,000 for the delivery of home repair kits to affected families.
“There’s no such thing as a small amount, any amount will go such a long way. Nakaka-empathize ako sa lahat na naging biktima kasi isa sa mga paborito kong lugar ay Siargao. Nakita ko rin kung paano siya na-wipe out so please, let’s do our part. Magtulong-tulong tayo despite lahat ng mga nangyayari sa mundo ngayon,” shared Jake.
“Sa lahat ng pamilyang may pinagdadaanan ngayon, sana maramdaman niyo ang init ng pagyakap namin dahil hindi po kayo nag-iisa. Andito po kami para sa inyo. Sa kabila ng lahat ng hirap na pinagdadaanan natin, dahil Pilipino tayo, we can do this,” added Dimples.
In the succeeding nights, more Kapamilya stars will engage viewers by doing trending challenges, sharing behind-the scenes clips on set, and playing fun games. Join KathNiel on March 5, the cast of “Mars Ravelo’s Darna” for “Ultimate FamGames” from March 6 to March 8, and Charo, Karina, and Aljon for “MMK” and “Viral Scandal’s” “Family Kilig Campaign” on March 9.
As of March 3, a total of 203,110 families have received food packs and 330 families have been given home repair kits courtesy of the ABS-CBN Foundation and its partners and donors. Overall, the ongoing campaign has raised P96.98 million in cash donations and P16.35 million in-kind donations consisting of rice, canned goods, hygiene kits, and blankets.
Kapamilyas who wish to help the typhoon survivors can avail Tulong Vouchers on Lazada and Shopee, which will add to the funds for the home repair kits to be given to affected families.
