Garrett Bolden Shares His Music Journey in Debut Album "Chapters"

Garrett Bolden is finally releasing his debut album titled "Chapters" under GMA Music.

2 of the songs from the EP are his own compositions: Our Love (theme song of I Left My Heart in Sorsogon) and Pwede Pa Ba (theme song of the Thai series, Bad Romeo). While the other 2 songs won awards for Garrett:

11th PMPC Star Awards for Music, New Male Recording Artist for Lilipad Na
2020 - 33rd Awit Awards, People's Choice for New Male Artist for Handa Na Maghintay
2021 - 12th PMPC Star Awards For Music – Male Pop Recording Artist for Handa Na Maghintay

His latest single, Ikaw Pala is a revival of a classic hit from Kris Lawrence in the early 2000.

"I feel thankful and excited kasi it's a fulfillment for me to release my first album," he said during an interview with GMA Network.

He describes how his album came to be. "It contains five songs, it talks about the journey of falling in love and having heartbreaks and waiting for the right one.

"If I were to put it together since "Lilipad Na" up to" Ikaw Pala" it's like a book that talks about love from different people. It also talks about the music journey I've been through."

Garrett shares how he picked this song, "During the process of picking songs, sa pag-iisip ng aking next single, there's been a couple of songs in our minds pero itong song na po ito narinig ko po ang ang sarap bigyan ng sariling interpretation."

He admits he did feel a little bit of pressure when making his album. "Hindi po mawawala sa isip ko na isipin kung magugustuhan ba ng mga tao at paano nila tatanggapin 'yung album, nandoon 'yung fear. I'm just really having fun, and I'm enjoying how I'm able to share a full album."

Aside from releasing his first album, one of Garrett's recent achievements is appearing in a stage production of Miss Saigon in Guam where he appeared as American G.I. John Thomas.

'Yung journey ko sa Miss Saigon is something I won't forget, it's my first big production. I'm very thankful for all the experiences I had and hopefully I could do more. It's something I really want to do," he said.

"Chapters" will be released and available for download and streaming on digital stores worldwide on January 27 under GMA Music.

The Most Iconic Moments from Viu Original Series "K-Love" That Live Inside Viewers’ Minds Rent-Free

It’s easy to know if a show is binge-worthy – it’ll elicit endless laughs, keep your heart fluttering, and give you the *feels* for days on end. These are just some of the reasons why Viu Original "K-Love" is gaining momentum among viewers. The series follows five urbanites traversing their own paths, as they pursue their own K-drama-inspired happy endings. As the show nears its end, let’s round up K-Love’s best moments that are so sticky, they live in our minds rent-free. Better yet, let's hear some of these straight from the viewers, and know why you should not miss the coming episodes.

Be warned, spoilers ahead!

Judy, 19: "When David asked Shiela to “prove” her love after apologizing for forgetting their anniversary at the Tatler Ball!"

What is Shiela’s proven and tested way of making it up to her “fit, hot, and most perfect husband” after forgetting their anniversary? You go down in front of him… to fix your shoe straps. Shiela definitely trolled us in this scene, got us shooketh and doubled over in laughter for thinking that she’s gonna do it. Equally adorable David forgives her instantly and brushes off the issue, showing how secure his love is. This is why we’re forever shipping this wholesome couple – no toxicity, just fun vibes!

Paola, 24: "Whenever the women of K-Love show that giving it your all always pays off. Fighting!"

Who else rooted for Tish when she rose from the ashes and tried to woo the client again even after an epic rejection? She's proven the girl boss that she is by not giving up and working smart. Wearing her confidence and a killer OOTD, she’s done one of the most iconic power moves we’ve ever seen: winning the client over with an whatever it takes kind of attitude. Don't we all need to have this energy if we want to chase after something we really want?

Tiara, 35: “Val’s Slay-counters with Bim-bim Velez. I’m always on the lookout for that!

All of Bim-bim’s efforts to cancel Val is so nakakagigil. The audacity of that witch! From the moment he called Val “hija” and treated her as a nobody, we knew the war has just started. Good thing, our girl knows how to play the game and shows that she’s not the kind of girl to be stepped on. She’s worked hard enough to not deserve that treatment from some bully like Bim-bim, or anyone else. We can’t wait for more face-offs where Val wins because after all, Fran is right… That guy is like Voldemort, he’s everywhere!

Ynah, 27: "When Jay saw Tish and Pedro kissing."

For Tish-ay shippers out there, that ending scene in ep 10 is definitely ouch-worthy. Seeing the one you love kissing someone else right when you’ve mustered enough strength to confess your feelings? There’s nothing more heartbreaking than that. We felt Jay’s pain through our screens. Maybe it’s his fault for not saying it sooner, maybe Tish is just looking too far for love… or maybe fate has something better in store for these two…we’ll find out in the next eps!

See? Just like these K-Lovers, whether it’s a funny, touching, or intriguing scene, you’ll surely have a favorite. The series is truly an entertaining watch filled with moments and even lessons that fans will savor by heart. Add this show to your binge list now and find out more about why you shouldn't pass up on it. Stream it now and witness more of K-Squad’s adventures exclusively on Viu!

The focus, she says, is now on the artists, "I hope that I can lead Sparkle well and that I can fulfill the demands of the position and I hope na tumuloy-tuloy and we can really be of service to our stars and to the network.

Supporting her in overseeing the operations of the department is a team of seasoned personnel from the industry including AVP for Talent Management Joy Marcelo, Senior Managers Tracy Garcia, Vic del Rosario, Daryl Zamora, among others who oversee probably the largest support team of managers, handlers, producers, and specialists to more or less 300 artists. With the guidance of the iconic star builder Mr. Johnny Manahan, who has been hands-on since the rebranding of the group to Sparkle.

These Sparkle artists landed multimedia endorsements surpassing expectations of management.

The glitz, glam, and fun never stopped all year long as Sparkle then held its first-ever Halloween party via “The Sparkle Spell.” Following the successful GMA Thanksgiving Gala, Sparkle artists and online influencers showed off their scariest, sexiest, and most stylish costumes in one bewitching evening.

Sparkle then gave an early Christmas present to its loyal Kapuso fans as it held the 'Sparkle Fans Day: Isang Pasasalamat' at the SM North Edsa Skydome to show appreciation for the fans' undying love and support. The event was jam-packed with 1,400 fans and featured astounding performances from 70 Sparkle Artists. The well-anticipated event also carried out fun-filled activities.

Later in the year, Sparkle successfully organized its second grand contract signing event, “Signed for Stardom,” where various Kapuso artists, composed of veteran actors and actresses, TV hosts, singers, comedians, beauty queens, and rising stars, renewed their contracts, while at the same time, new faces were introduced to its ever-growing, ever-shining roster. Some of the brilliant stars who renewed their contract with Sparkle were: Kylie Padilla, Kyline Alcantara, Ysabel Ortega, Derrick Monasterio, and David Licauco. Sparkle also welcomed seasoned actor Jason Gainza, beauty queen Bianca Manalo, and actor-comedian Buboy Villar to its roster of stars.

Another highlight of the year was when Sparkle welcomed this Generation's Pop Princess, Zephanie. To date, she continues to showcase her amazing vocals in GMA shows and events. Also joining Sparkle's star-studded roster of talents is Chanty, a member of the new K-pop group Lapillus.

Sparkle also launched its newest website for easy access to online viewers and clients. In the digital age, expect interactive sites, shows, and channels from Sparkle's Gen Z artists as well as online shows produced by Sparkle showcasing new and exciting discoveries!

Further, their numbers have grown over 100% on all Sparkle Social Media Platforms combined. The Sparkle TikTok account is consistently included in the country's most followed and most viewed entertainment account for Quarters 3 and 4 of 2022.

Aside from appearing in the standout and groundbreaking Kapuso series in 2022, Sparkle's stars also got the chance to shine through projects, collaborations, and appearances with other major streaming platforms such as Viu, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, and Netflix. Furthermore, the star power of the management's artists continued to grow bigger and brighter as they started to gain more international recognition from foreign award-giving bodies. Some of the shows and movies that won international awards were Lolong starring Ruru Madrid, Maria Clara At Ibarra with Sparkle artists Barbie Forteza, Julie Anne San Jose, David Licauco, and Juancho Trivino, Broken Blooms featuring Jeric Gonzales and Therese Malvar, who won several best actor and actress awards, and "That Boy in the Dark,” featuring Joaquin Joaquin Domagoso, who likewise won 6 local and international best actor awards.

Sparkle also shook up the concert scene with memorable performances year-round, namely, Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz' JulieVerse, Alden Richards' ForwARd U.S. Tour, and Pokwang Live in Concert in Dubai.

For 2023, Sparkle is all set to shine not just here but on the global stage as well. Movies, concerts, and mini-series in various streaming platforms are in the works, with Viu and Amazon among others. Needless to say, these artists will continue to take on lead roles for the Network's prime offerings such as “Mga Lihim ni Urduja” with Sanya Lopez, Gabbi Garcia, and Kylie Padilla, “Hearts on Ice” with Ashley Ortega, “Underage” with Lexi Gonzales, Elijah Alejo, and Hailey Mendes, and “Voltes V: Legacy” with Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Matt Lozano, Radson Flores, and Raphael Landicho, just to name a few.
