Sparkle Actor Kimson Tan Stars in Singaporean Movie "King of Hawkers"

The movie "King of Hawkers" has not yet started filming, but the copyright has already been sold to the largest broadcasting network in the Philippines - GMA Network. 

Filmmaker Sun Liren revealed in an interview with "Lianhe Zaobao": "I will fly there on November 30. The movie has been sold to theaters and TV."

Philippine idol artist Kimson Tan joins the cast

Sun Liren's film festival style "Won't Go Home Tonight" not only casts local actors Zeng Shimei and others, but also Korean artists. He revealed that after "Today", the next films will develop regionally, so "The Hawker King" will With Filipino idol artist Kimson Tan.

The movie tells the story of a single mother returning to Hong Kong, inheriting her mother's stall in a hawker center, and the business is booming. When a big Hong Kong consortium wants to buy it, the single mother realizes that the other party is her playboy ex-husband. 

Kimson Tan will play Liu Jinsun, a gourmet peddler. He is impulsive, straightforward, speaks without thinking, often offends people, and is self-righteous. He and Chen Bei, the beautiful daughter of a single mother, are happy friends, and the two join forces to fight against the takeover of the big consortium.

Sun Liren said: "Although Kimson Tan is not a leading actor, he plays a very important role." Kimson Tan was born in China and grew up in the Philippines. He speaks fluent Chinese, is 1.85 cm tall, and has a handsome appearance. Sun Liren said that at this stage it is inconvenient to reveal who will play the male and female protagonists.

Celebrity chef Lin Baoshun serves as food consultant

Sun Liren believes that next year will be a very hot year for local food culture. He said: "Local food is sold overseas. For example, New York has local food. "King of Hawkers" is actually promoting local food." "Little" by Situ Bi screenwriter, he has participated in the screenwriting of Feng Weizhong's movie "The Best Guy".

There are many food scenes in the film "Little", and Sun Liren hired Lin Baoshun (John See), who had co-organized the movie gourmet private kitchen with him a while ago, and "moved" the delicious food on the screen to the table, as a food consultant. Nadine Lustre returns to big screen via the Metro Manila Film Festival 2022 movie entry “Deleter.”

This techno-horror film helmed by Mikhail Red also stars McCoy Deleon, Louise delos Reyes, and Jeffrey Hidalgo.

Based on a script by Mikhail and Nikolas Red, the film follows Lyra, who works shifts at a shadowy online content moderation office where employees, known as deleters, are tasked with the process of filtering graphic uploads from reaching social media platforms. The responsibility of censorship proves bearable for Lyra, whom her co-workers, as well as her boss Simon, observe as a cold person unfazed by the disturbing imagery she sees on a daily basis. What they do not know is that Lyra hides a deep trauma. Lyra’s attempt to erase and forget her past has forced her to don an apathetic face to the horrors of the world.

Antonio Banderas has lived with (and brought life to) Puss in Boots for almost two decades, and he has seen the impact of the character first-hand in every area of the globe. “I have had interviewers from all around the world and thought, ‘Wow. When that person saw Shrek 2, they were seven, eight years old,’” Banderas says. “Now, they are interviewing me about this character they saw years ago, and now they are 28 or 29. It’s beautiful that younger people have grown up with this character that produced such a strong impact in their lives. It seems like the time to pick up Puss and throw him back to the biggest screen, the place where he belongs.”

“Coming back to voice this memorable hero has been a remarkable experience,” Banderas says. “I felt like I was visiting a very dear, clever friend that I hadn’t heard from for a few years. We both have greyer whiskers and are no longer the brash, young players we used to be.
