Uratex Ambassadress Heart Evangelista Advocates the Importance of Sleep in Overall Health in #LoveMyGisingWithUratex Campaign

Uratex, the leading foam company in the Philippines, is strengthening its long-time partnership with Heart Evangelista as its ambassadress in uplifting the importance of sleep among Filipinos.

As the country’s International Fashion Style Icon, Heart gives great value to sleep and rest as one of the most essential things in life. For her, a quality sleep can be rewarding enough to foster success, great health, and happiness.

Sleeping for the prescribed amount of time is necessary, but having good sleep products like Uratex’s mattresses and pillows can make a huge difference in energizing you for the next day. “I am a fan of anything in life that gives you comfort, that will give you good health and Uratex Mattresses does just that. I do treasure my sleep and I make sure that I do invest in top quality mattresses so I can get the best rest that I need and be more productive in life,” Heart shared.

As Uratex’s Ambassadress, Heart Evangelista joins the brand in sharing the value of having a good night’s sleep for its #LoveMyGisingWithUratex campaign.

According to Milieu Insight and Intellect’s research on sleeping, many Filipino adults who are currently employed admitted to experiencing poor quality of life due to a variety of stressors. This has resulted to most of them having difficulty finding good sleep.

A quality sleep, as reported by a study from The National Academies, is important because the lack of rest can lead to serious health problems, including obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, and weaker immune function.

Major restorative functions in the body such as tissue repair, muscle growth, and protein synthesis occur almost exclusively during sleep,” the Harvard Medical School also noted in another study.

Uratex and Heart Evangelista hope to become a bridge for the Filipinos in reinforcing that good, healthy sleep can come a long way.

With this, Uratex has lined up a variety of mattresses that are fit for the specific needs of everyone.

For a refreshing and cool sleep, Airlite gets the job done with its breathable fabric and sleep cool technology, and Trill is a mattress in a box that can help you experience comfort and undisturbed sleep.

For those with back problems, Uratex’s Orthocare creates great support for your body during long sleep.

The Senso Memory Frost on the other hand is perfect for those looking for something cool and comfortable. Thanks to its DuoFrost technology, SensoFrost is Uratex’s coolest memory foam mattress to date. And finally, the Premium Touch is the go-to mattress if you’re eyeing for a five-star hotel staycation sleep experience at home.

Uratex’s array of mattresses, among its other quality products for sleeping, made the brand consistently recognized as a Trusted Brand for Mattress category at the Reader’s Digest Awards. This recognition was consistently given to Uratex for 13 years, including the Awards’ 2022 edition.

I know they say 8 hours (is what we need) but 8 hours on the plane, 8 hours on the car is different from the 8 hours on the bed. I do need a mattress that will take care of my spine and posture. Uratex offers a few different things like a cooling bed mattress and one with memory foam. Everything is just tailor-fit to your lifestyle,” Heart Evangelista shared on the comfort of Uratex’s mattresses.

Uratex is truly honored to have Heart Evangelista in promoting the importance of a good night’s sleep for all. Our long relationship with Heart has truly made a mark in ensuring Filipinos get the best possible sleep they need, and with our current collaboration through the #LoveMyGisingWithUratex, we’re hoping to elevate the sleeping experience of more,” said Mr. Christian Cheng, Brand Marketing Executive of Uratex Philippines.

Sagip Pelikula Honors Charo Santos-Concio's Cinematic Contributions Featuring the Digitally-Restored Version of 'My Juan En Only'

ABS-CBN Film Restoration pays tribute to Charo Santos-Concio and her countless contributions to Philippine cinema in Sagip Pelikula Spotlight, featuring the online screenings of her restored classics, including the comedy classic "My Juan En Only."

The latest installment of its Spotlight series recognizes Charo's work as an actress with her various titular roles in movies "Kisapmata," "Itim," and "Brutal," among others; also, as a producer of some of the country's most notable films including "Himala," "Soltero," and "Oro, Plata, Mata."

Apart from her cinematic works, she was instrumental in ushering ABS-CBN Film Restoration and its efforts in restoring movie classics for today's audiences to appreciate. According to Charo, her passion for archiving films stemmed from her love for cinema and how it reflects society throughout the years.

"It's coming from the fact that I am a movie fan. I grew up watching [classic] films and saw the need to fix and restore these for future generations because it reflects our culture and the changes within our society. That is where you have the idea of who we are as people," Charo shared in an interview with ABS-CBN Film Restoration head Leo Katigbak.

Kicking off the Spotlight series for Charo, Sagip Pelikula brings viewers the restored version of her 1982 comedy classic "My Juan En Only," co-starring alongside the King of Comedy himself, Dolphy, with Panchito, Babalu, Paquito Diaz, Bibeth Orteza, and more.

The family-romance comedy film brings the story of Juan (Dolphy), a beloved businessman in his provincial town known for his countless acts of generosity to others. His heart of gold also caught the attention of the town's seamstress, Akang (Charo), as he becomes her secret admirer - constantly giving her gifts to show his affection which always ends up in silly mishaps.

But their happy love story turns topsy-turvy when Juan's siblings from the city enter the picture to spend time with him by imposing their urban living on his humble lifestyle. Little did he know that some of his siblings conspired with their uncle to ruin his relationship with Akang in fear of losing much of Juan's supposed inheritance for them.

Viewers can laugh their worries away by watching the digitally-restored "My Juan En Only," featuring a pre-show interview with Charo herself, now streaming on KTX. Passes are available at https://bit.ly/MyJuanOnKTX for only P150.

Apart from "My Juan En Only," audiences can also relive some of Charo's cinematic roles in films such as "Esperanza: The Movie," "Maalaala Mo Kaya: The Movie," "Kapag Langit ang Humatol," "Tisoy!" and "Kakabakaba Ka Ba?" and her co-produced films including "Himala," "Oro, Plata, Mata," "Soltero," "Misteryo sa Tuwa," "Nagsimula sa Puso," and "Hindi Nahahati ang Langit."

iWantTFC’s “Tara, G!” Brings Good Vibes and Heartwarming Stories About Friendship and Aspirations

Good vibes and a heartwarming story about friendship and aspirations delighted viewers as iWantTFC’s youth-oriented series “Tara, G!” premiered on the streaming platform and made it to the list of the Top 10 most watched shows.

The pilot episode introduced viewers to Team WISE - Anthony Jennings, Kaori Oinuma, JC Alcantara, Vivoree Esclito, Zach Castañeda, and CJ Salonga. They are a solid barkada with different quirks but they are united with the shared goal of bringing back the glory of La Guerta by making a living as coffee farmers.

Team WISE, who relies heavily on their coffee business for their future, was one step closer to making their dreams come true when Rocky (Anthony) scored a one-time, big-time deal with a coffee wine client. However, their plans were spoiled when an eccentric city girl named Cars (Daniela Stranner) accidentally broke all of their coffee wine bottles.

Team WISE’s hearts were shattered since the profit for their coffee business was supposed to be used for Jengjeng’s (Vivoree) monetary needs or else she will have to leave La Guerta. Legs (Kaori), for instance, was able to study in the city because of their coffee business.

Viewers praised the series for putting emphasis on the struggles of traditional coffee farmers, as well as teaching valuable lessons to today’s youth.

“Tara, G!” is more than just a teensy kilig flick, napapanahon siya at puno ng aral,” it adds.

Social media influencer Francis Sajorda also gave a positive review for the series, which was shot entirely in Benguet.

Ang sarap mag-feeling young at Gen Z because of this serye. Maganda ang pagkakatahi sa kwento ng both traditional and modern ways ng Benguet - there’s something for everyone in the series, hindi lang pang-Gen Z. It is a good show with so much heart in it,” he said.

Viewers can also watch the live reaction show, “Tara, G! With Me,” every Friday on iWantTFC’s Facebook page and YouTube channel, where the cast reacts to each episode.

“Tara, G!” streams worldwide and a new episode drops every Friday at 8 PM (Manila time). The series is free in the Philippines on the iWantTFC app (iOs and Android) and website (iwanttfc.com) and it is also available for premium subscribers outside of the Philippines.

Philippines Fast-Rising Vocal Powerhouse 'TERA' Launches Self-Written Song "Higher Dosage"

Merlion Events Production Inc. and Tyronne Escalante Artist Management has teamed up once again to produce another entertainment powerhouse artist in the name of ‘Tera.’

Tera, which means Earth in Latin, is ready to break new ground in the country’s entertainment industry with her latest single, “Higher Dosage.” The self-composed alternative pop single deals with darker themes such as alcohol and illegal substances, and moreover, how people deal with their problems.

‘Higher Dosage’ is a song I wrote in 2019. No matter what your age, gender, or nationality is, everyone has a struggle that they’re enduring. This song reflects that darkness,” Tera shares.

The triple-threat (songwriter, singer, and dancer) is aware that her music is going to be very unique from what Philippine pop fans are used to, but she believes it is what makes her music necessary, saying: “There are already a lot of songs about love, finding it and losing it. What I offer to the audience is a real, some would say deeper, take on emotions, life events, [and] humanity. My debut single is definitely different from what people are used to, but I think anyone could relate to it.

But Tera is definitely not settling for the shock factor. With her upcoming music video for the single, she had to undergo tons of preparations and meetings to make sure that her vision aligns with that of Director Elena Virata, who Tera praises was very “open minded and kind with the whole process.”

With her dance preparations, choreographers Douglas Nierras, Chrisy Sawada, and Froi Dabalus helped bring her song’s meaning to life through their artistic, meaningful choreography. She also underwent piano training in the Yupangco Music Academy, Voice Masterclass with Monet Silvestre, and most recently, in The Madz Studio coached by Alfred Samonte.

Produced by Merlion Events Production Inc. and managed by Tyronne Escalante Artist Management (TEAM), Tera was officially launched as an artist on October 25, 2022 at the Seda Vertis North Hotel in Quezon City. During the launching, Tera also performed her two other singles - “Façade” and “Sa Dilim.”

This is a dream come true for me. I grew up watching live concert CDs of Michael Jackson and Beyoncé who both shaped me as a performer. Even as a child, I would perform for people and ever since then, I just never got tired of sharing my craft. Ultimately, I hope that people would relate to my songs and be blown away by my performances,” Tera ends.

TEAM Manager Tyronne Escalante shares that they are very much excited about the launch, “Tera writes her own songs and she is a natural-born performer. We can’t wait for everyone to know her and be just as amazed with her talent as we are. She brings something distinct to the country’s music scene and we’re supporting her all the way.”
