Sparkle GMA Artist Center Stars Play for “GMA NCAA All-Star Basketball Game” on June 5 Live on GTV

GMA Network and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) bring some of the country's hottest celebrities and student-athletes together in the exciting court action "GMA NCAA All-Star Basketball Game" happening this Sunday (June 5), 3PM at the FilOil Flying V Center and simulcast on GTV.

It's the collision basketball fans should not miss as student-athletes from the ten-member schools of NCAA and Kapuso artists try to battle it out on court to determine who will prevail between Team Heroes and Team Saints.

Leading Team Saints is NCAA Season 97's MVP-Rookie of the Year Rhenz Abando of the Colegio de San Juan de Letran. Abando will be joined by his fellow Letran Knight cager Brent Paraiso; San Beda University Red Lions Ralph Penuela and Yukien Andrada; University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Altas Kim Aurin and Jielo Razon; De La Salle-College of St. Benilde Blazers Will Gozum and Prince Carlos; and San Sebastian College-Recoletos Golden Stags Ichie Altamirano and Ammar Cosari.

Adding more star power to team Saints are the Kapuso celebrities Rocco Nacino, Paul Salas, Gil Cuerva, Pancho Magno, Jose Sarasola, and Kirst Viray.

Up for the challenge are the players of Team Heroes bannered by Arellano University Chiefs Kai Oliva and Gelo Sablan; Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals Allen Liwag and Ralph Robin; Lyceum of the Philippines University Pirates Mac Guadaña and Enoch Valdez; José Rizal University Heavy Bombers JL delos Santos and Marwin Dionisio; and Mapua University Cardinals Warren Bonifacio and Paolo Hernandez.

Joining them in the squad are Kapuso actors Jason Abalos, Mavy Legaspi, David Licauco, Mark Herras, Ervic Vijandre, and Luis Hontiveros.

Expect hard court action and fun games with the special participation of other surprise guests. Viewers should also catch the performances from Hannah Precillas, Jessica Villarubin, and Mariane Osabel, and Zephanie Dimaranan.

BIG REVEAL! Joseph Marco is Herlene "Hipon Girl" Budol's Leading Man in Puregold Channel's Series "Ang Babae Sa Likod Ng Face Mask"

A brand-new love team is set to deliver kilig and laughs in an upcoming online series. 

Herlene Budol and her leading man Joseph Marco star together in “Ang Babae sa Likod ng Face Mask,” a 13-episode romantic comedy series conceptualized with Puregold, produced by award-winning filmmaker Chris Cahilig, and directed by critically-acclaimed Victor Villanueva.

Popularly known as “Hipon Girl,” Herlene’s wit and charm makes her the ideal leading lady for this hilarious and heartwarming new show. Playing opposite her in her first ever leading role, television heartthrob Joseph Marco, known for his onscreen credits on “Sabel,” “Honesto,” “Pasion de Amor,” and “Wildflower.”

“Napaka-exciting na opportunity ang ibinigay ng Puregold sa akin,” Herlene gushes of. “Gusto ko ipakita sa lahat ng followers at Hiponatic supporters ang kakayahan ko bilang isang leading lady.”

Indeed, the pairing of Budol and Marco crackles with chemistry in the upcoming series. “Ang Babae sa Likod ng Face Mask” tells the story of Malta, played by Herlene Budol, a 25- year-old cashier. Malta works hard to support her mother, Madam Baby, portrayed by seasoned actress, Ms. Mickey Ferriols.

One day at work, Malta meets the handsome but unlucky in love Sieg, played by Joseph Marco. It’s love at first sight for Sieg, who is mesmerized by Malta’s eyes. What unfolds is the story of how Malta and Sieg find love and overcome their doubts and insecurities, and break the negative cycles of their past.

“Ang classic ng kwento,” says Budol. “Nakakakilig, nakakatawa, lahat ng gusto mo sa isang series, meron kami rito.”

“Ang Babae…” is the latest in Puregold’s online series that take inspiration from classic Filipino TV of the past decades. As such, it’s sure to spark the warm sensations of both nostalgia and renewed discovery as viewers come to fall in love with both Herlene Budol’s Malta and Joseph Marco’s Sieg.

“Elvis” Movie Shakes Up Cannes Festival with a 12-Minute Standing Ovation

Anji Salvacion Wins “Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10"

“Ang Singing Sweetheart ng Siargao” Anji Salvacion from the Celebrity Kumunity emerged as the Big Winner of the “Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Kumunity Season 10” of ABS-CBN in an emotional Big Night held in front of the "PBB" house on May 29.

Anji edged out the other Big 5 housemates to become the season’s victor and winner of P2 million with 40.42 percent of the combined save and evict votes.

As she received her prize, Anji thanked her supporters for bringing her to victory.

“First of all, I want to really say thank you to God for giving me this opportunity and for giving me this biggest blessing in life. It's not the title but it is how people trusted me. That's my biggest, biggest blessing. How people look up to me...Tagumpay ang plano,” she said.

Her mother, Melisa Gorbulev, also expressed her gratitude to those who voted for Anji, “Salamat sa sumusuporta sa anak ko. Thank you for believing in her.”

Isabel Laohoo of the Adult Kumunity placed second with 18.20 percent to win P500,000 followed by Samantha Bernardo from the Celebrity Kumunity (16.28 percent), who received P300,000.

Completing the season’s finalists were Rob Blackburn from the Teen Kumunity (4.01 percent) who got P200,000 as the 4th Big Placer, while Celebrity Kumunity’s Brenda Mage (1.19 percent) went home with P100,000 as the 5th Big Placer.

Anji’s road to the Big Night and the Big Winner title was not easy after being nominated for eviction numerous times during the Celebrity Edition, which kicked off the season on October 16 last year. Moreover, her family in Siargao was also affected by Super Typhoon Odette while she was still inside the house.

However, these did not stop her from improving herself as she used her gifts in singing and songwriting and her determination to succeed in each of Kuya’s tasks and challenges to win the hearts of the people and become part of the Celebrity Kumunity Top 2 alongside Alyssa Valdez.

Anji continued to show grit and persistence as she and fellow Celebrity housemates Samantha Bernardo, who replaced Alyssa, and comeback housemate Brenda Mage managed to snatch the first three slots in the Big 5.

ABS-CBN and Viu, PCCW’s leading pan-regional OTT video streaming service, announced today the expansion of their partnership to adapt the hit South Korean thriller drama "Flower of Evil" in 16 markets across Asia, the Middle East and South Africa. This much- anticipated series is the first Viu Original Adaptation from the Philippines which stars Lovi Poe and Piolo Pascual.
