DigiPlus and BingoPlus Foundation Launch "Pusta de Peligro" Short Films, a Call for Responsible Gaming

DigiPlus Interactive and its social development arm, BingoPlus Foundation, have officially launched the Pusta de Peligro Responsible Gaming campaign with the premiere of three compelling short films. Held at Gateway Cinema, the event highlighted DigiPlus’ steadfast commitment to responsible gaming, advocating for prevention, education, and intervention to ensure that gaming remains a safe and enjoyable form of entertainment.

At the heart of the campaign are three resonant short films, each designed to evoke self-reflection and inspire mindful gaming choices.

The first video tells the story of a woman torn between breaking her piggy bank to place a bet, or keeping her hard-earned money.

The second video follows someone caught in a tough decision: to use his money to buy lunch, or risk it all for a bet.

The third video highlights the struggle of a woman with worn-out shoes, torn between buying a much-needed replacement, or taking a chance on a game.

Through these relatable, real-life scenarios, Pusta de Peligro challenges viewers to recognize the moments when gaming transitions from fun to risk, and encourages them to embrace the campaign’s call: “Pag Pusta de Peligro na, pause na muna, dahil ang gaming dapat fun-fun lang!

Introducing responsible gaming features in DigiPlus platforms

As the company behind leading brands BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, DigiPlus has raised the bar for responsible gaming by integrating self-exclusion features in its platforms. These provide players with tools that enable them to take control of their gaming habits, including options to set daily gaming durations, customize specific gaming schedules, and establish daily loss limits. For instance, players can confine their gaming to specific hours, such as evenings or lunch breaks, and set loss limits that ensure they never risk more than they are comfortable with.

These self-defined tools reflect DigiPlus’ proactive commitment to player welfare and align with global standards for responsible gaming. By integrating these features directly into its platforms, DigiPlus empowers players to enjoy gaming safely, without stress or financial strain.

We hope this campaign will spark a national conversation about responsible gaming,” said DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio Tanco. “We want players to feel empowered to make wise choices, families to feel reassured, and communities to see gaming as a safe form of entertainment. The Pusta de Peligro campaign is a crucial step toward that vision.”

Conversations with experts

The Pusta de Peligro campaign represents a year-long journey of dedication and collaboration. DigiPlus has invested significantly in crafting an advocacy that goes beyond words – partnering with mental health professionals, financial coaches, and educators to create a campaign that speaks to the realities of Filipino players.

A highlight of the premiere was a thought-provoking discussion featuring Teresita Castillo of the International Gambling Counselors Certification Board and financial coach Armand Bengco. The panel explored the importance of education, early intervention, and expert collaboration in fostering a safe and responsible gaming culture.

Pusta de Peligro builds on DigiPlus and BingoPlus Foundation’s longstanding commitment to responsible gaming. Previous initiatives, such as the Tamang Laro, Tamang Panalo webinar series and financial coaching programs for jackpot winners, have paved the way for this latest campaign to engage players more deeply and meaningfully.

Looking ahead

DigiPlus and BingoPlus Foundation are taking the campaign to new heights, rolling out the videos across digital platforms and inviting communities to share the message of responsible gaming. In addition to digital advocacy, on-ground initiatives such as community workshops and live events are set to amplify the campaign’s reach, ensuring that more players are empowered to make balanced, mindful decisions.

We’re just getting started,” Tanco said. “Responsible gaming is the foundation of a sustainable gaming industry. With Pusta de Peligro, we’re proving that advocacy and innovation can go hand in hand to create a safer, more enjoyable gaming environment for all.”

“Time To Dance” Highlights Touching Stories and Plights of Filipino Dancers

ABS-CBN and Nathan Studios’ new dance survival reality show “Time To Dance” turned its spotlight to seven hopefuls from different local dance communities, who shared their stories and struggles during the show’s pilot episode last Saturday (January 18).

During the show’s mediacon, New Gen Dance Champ Gela Atayde shared how she wants to shed light to the realities of being a Filipino dancer.

Here in “Time To Dance” I want to inspire kasi I had dance teammates who weren’t financially stable. That was when the realization hit me that I want to be able to help because I am privileged enough,” she said.

Meanwhile, World of Dance Philippines director Vimi Rivera emphasized how “Time To Dance” strives to showcase the Filipino dance community.

It’s not just a dance competition or a survival show na ang focus ay kung sino ang pinakamagaling. We’re trying our best to showcase the whole dance community para makita rin ng general public kung gaano kataas ‘yung art form and the hours that we give to improve our skills,” Coach Vimi said.

The pilot episode showed dance council members World of Dance PH finalist Ken San Jose and celebrity choreographer Jobel Dayrit tearing up as one of the dance hopefuls, Marlon, expressed how he struggled to earn money through dancing in order to buy medicine for his father.

My father got diagnosed with cancer. I came here to the Philippines to take care of him as well. I remember fighting for my life din on that stage just like what you did. You’re not alone, you give me hope,” Ken said to Marlon.

“Time To Dance” host Robi Domingo turned emotional as dance hopeful and breadwinner Ron shared how he juggles between being a dancer, a family man, and a small business owner. Robi shared that he hopes to be responsible like Ron once he becomes a father.

Another dance hopeful, Paulo, shared how he stopped dancing because of his brother’s death and how he wishes to earn money so that he can go back to school. Young dancers Ice, Cheva, and Alex expressed the challenges they face in finding balance between studying and dancing, while Cherry aired how she navigates life independently after leaving her family who doesn’t support her passion.

After performing 1-minute dance routines, six dance hopefuls Ice, Cherry, Paulo, Alex, Ron, and Marlon advanced to the next round and became part of the 12 official dance contenders, who will undergo intensive training with Gela and champion dance coaches and battle it out in challenges in the coming weeks.

Next week, find out who among the next 10 hopefuls will advance to the next round and complete the 12 official dance contenders. Catch the newest dance survival reality show “Time To Dance” every Saturday, 8:30 pm on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, MYX, and TFC.
