Kim Chiu celebrates her 36th birthday and her two decades in the entertainment industry with a three-cover summer special on METRO.

In the METRO cover story titled “Kim Chiu Makes a Splash on her Birthday and 20th Showbiz Anniversary,” “The Alibi” actress reflected on her humble journey from being a housemate and eventual winner of “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition 1” to the many blessings she has received along the way.

The “It’s Showtime” host, who turned 36 last April 19, also talked about the mindset that has kept her motivated throughout the years.

She said, “Every day, I celebrate myself. That’s my mindset. Na yes, natapos ko ’to. Or like today, I'll celebrate myself for finishing this five-layout cover shoot with METRO. So ’yun, every day, you have to celebrate either small wins or big wins. Or sometimes, mga losses in life, you also have to celebrate them kasi meron kang matututunan din.”

Jollibee Upgrades Burger Steak, Introduces new Burger Steak Supreme Until July 31


Jollibee has upgraded its Burger Steak rice meal and has also introduced a new variant, Burger Steak Supreme, as Filipino families continue to look for meals that are delicious, satisfying and affordable.

The Philippines’ no. 1 fast food chain said the improved Burger Steak now comes with more sauce to enhance flavor and overall experience, while keeping its starting price at ₱70 for a solo order.

We’re seeing that customers are paying closer attention to taste, how filling a meal is, and price, so we’re giving them a pangmalakasang (power-packed) rice meal,” said Dorothy Ching, vice president for marketing of Jollibee Philippines. “We focused on improving the experience of a familiar product while also introducing a new option for those who want a bigger meal.

The improvement is supported with materials featuring Joshua Garcia, highlighting the need of Filipinos for meals that can fill their cravings.

Jollibee said the move is part of its effort to respond to changing consumer needs, particularly the demand for meals that combine taste, serving size, and affordability.

The saucier-sarap Burger Steak is available nationwide for dine-in, takeout, drive-thru, and delivery. Meanwhile, customers can enjoy the Burger Steak Supreme in select stores only.

Anne Hathaway is "Mother Mary," Showing in PH Theaters on April 22


Anne Hathaway stuns as the titular global pop icon in the new pop psychological thriller "Mother Mary," an ambitious film produced by A24 exclusively distributed in the Philippines by CreaZion Studios.

The full synopsis goes: “Long-buried wounds rise to the surface when iconic pop star Mother Mary reunites with her estranged best friend and former costume designer Sam Anselm (played by Michaela Coel) on the eve of her comeback performance.” The film makes the viewers curious - how much of your soul are you willing to lose for fame and vanity?


Mother Mary is written and directed by David Lowery. The filmmaker takes viewers to a musical journey in the backdrop of an unlikely reunion between former friends, while exploring the haunting effect of long-lost formidable connections. The movie features original music by Charli XCX, Jack Antonoff, and FKA Twigs, who also acts in “Mother Mary”.


The singles “Burial”, performed by Hathaway; and “My Mouth is Lonely For You” by Twigs is out now. Meanwhile, the film’s digital soundtrack, featuring seven songs, will drop on Hathaway’s music streaming accounts this April.

Mother Mary also showcases an impressive cast that includes Hunter Schafer, Kaia Gerber, and FKA Twigs.
