ABS-CBN's Film Arm Star Cinema is now a Kapuso


Last Tuersday, April 5, GMA Network hosted a historic contract signing with ABS-CBN to license some of Star Cinema’s most popular and well-loved movies.

The partnership between the two rival networks was revealed on both's primetime newscast 24-Oras and TV Patrol as well as their social media pages.

ABS-CBN Films managing director Olivia M. Lamasan welcomed the ABS-CBN and GMA partnership in which the Kapuso Network will air Star Cinema movies.

We are delighted to have Star Cinema movies be enjoyed by Kapuso viewers through this partnership with GMA. We thank the network for believing in our films, and we welcome this collaboration as a great beginning that will inspire us to continue creating stories that will resonate with more Filipinos,” said Lamasan in a statement.

Some of the notable movies that will air on GMA-7 include ‘Alone/Together,’ ‘How to Be Yours,’ ‘Till My Heartaches End,’ ‘Ang Babae sa Septic Tank,’ ‘Ang Cute ng Ina Mo!,’ ‘It Takes a Man and a Woman,’ ‘Just The Way You Are,’ ‘Fantastica,’ ‘Can We Still Be Friends?,’ ‘Finally Found Someone,’ ‘No Other Woman,’ ‘Won’t Last A Day Without You,’ ‘Must Be…Love,’ ‘The Panti Sisters,’ ‘Isa Pa With Feelings,’ ‘James & Pat & Dave,’ ‘Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay,’ ‘Feng Shui,’ ‘Suddenly It’s Magic,’ and ‘I Love You, Hater.’
