Viewers all over the country are hooked on the thrilling story of “Flower of Evil” as the suspense drama made it to the list of top-rated shows on the Viu platform as it premiered last June 23.
Netizens tuned in and shared their excitement for the Viu Original Adaptation, which stars Lovi Poe and Piolo Pascual.
"Intense pilot episode! Aside from the powerful performances, the details of this series are just flawless. And how the proceedings jump from one clue to another, only lead us to another maze, is just fire!!," tweeted @dawallflower_.
"The showrunners, directors, & cast did not lie when they said this is world class. Aside from the powerful performances, the details of this series are just flawless," said @ImNotthatScary.
Launched on Viu 48 hours before its TV broadcast on Kapamilya Channel, Jeepney TV, and A2Z, the first two episodes introduced viewers to the loving family of Iris and Jacob (Lovi and Piolo), together with their daughter Luna (Sienna Stevens).
They seem like a picture-perfect couple, especially to Iris’ co-detectives, not knowing that dark secrets within their family will soon disrupt their lives.
Jacob’s scandalous past as a suspected murderer known as Daniel Villareal, slowly unravels beginning with his suspicious and uptight relationship with his parents (Edu Manzano and Agot Isidro).
Although Jacob has successfully maintained his new identity for many years, he suddenly faces a major problem after he was recognized by Rico (Joross Gamboa), his childhood friend who knows about his dark past and is now an established reporter.
In order to protect his identity and the new life he built, Jacob decided to hold Rico hostage. However, Jacob will have to deal with even more problems when Iris gets involved in a controversial case, which may be linked to Jacob’s suspected murder.
Will Iris begin to grow suspicious of Jacob? How will Jacob handle Rico now that he knows the truth?
Watch “Flower of Evil” first on Viu every Thursday and Friday at 8 PM, and on Kapamilya Channel, Jeepney TV, and A2Z every Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM.
